Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino from Designswarm

Alexandra is an interaction designer, product designer, entrepreneur and speaker that focuses on the internet of things.

She was named 2nd in “Top 100 Internet of Things Thought Leaders” (Onalytica, 2014), included in the “Top 100 Influential Tech Women on Twitter” (Business Insider, 2014) & included in the “Top 10 IOT Influencers you need to know about” (Dataconomy, 2015).

She was co-founder and CEO of Tinker London, the first distributor of the Arduino platform in the UK, ran workshops around the world and offered design and consultancy services to global clients.

Jane Silber,  CEO of Canonical

Jane Silber is CEO of Canonical, the company which produces the Ubuntu operating system.  She
started her career as a software developer and has worked in tech her entire career, in fields as diverse as personal health assessment, artificial intelligence,  military mission planning and now open source operating systems.  

She is excited about the wave of innovation that is being unleashed by smart connected devices, and the range of life-improving and business-enhancing opportunities that IOT will deliver.   (@silbs on Twitter)

Danny Wootton,  Director of IOT at  CGI

Danny is responsible for sales, marketing and delivery of CGI’s Internet Of Things propositions across all UK markets, plus development of CGI’s Global IoT Platform.

Prior to joining CGI in 2007, Danny was involved in a range of start-up businesses and held director level positions in Solution and Product Management, Commercial Management, Product Marketing and Finance at Lucent Technologies and AT&T.

Gilli Coston,  VP Marketing, Wyless Europe Plc

During her twenty years at O2 and Telefonica, Gilli acquired a wealth of experience. At Telefonica  she was General Manager of M2M, then M2M/IoT Clients’ Director at consulting firm CGI. 

Gilli is now at Wyless Europe Plc - (A KORE Wireless Group Company) where she works closely at board level and senior management to drive global strategy, as well as oversee Marketing for Carrier, Partners and Product.  Gilli remains as the Wyless Board member for the International M2M Council (IMC).

Emma Wright, Commercial Technology Partner at Kemp Little

Emma is a telecoms and technology lawyer who loves trying to solve the new issues that the converging nature of the TMT sector presents. She is an international regulatory specialist  having advised on the international regulatory aspects of multi-billion dollar transactions in the sector and provides advice both on a standalone basis or as part of a broader transaction.  She is the author of the PLC Practice Note on Premium Rate Services and regularly advises on issues relating to apps, connected devices, mobile payments and carrier billing arrangements.

She has a particular interest in the potential that ‘Internet of Things’ applications can deliver and has advised on a wide range of ‘as a service’ solutions and infrastructure sharing arrangements particularly in an industrial context.
