WiW UK Presents: Stepping Up and Standing Out with Dale Murray, CBE

Women in Wireless are proud to present "Stepping Up and Standing Out” with Dale Murray. Dale will focus on lessons learned firstly as an aspirant high-growth tech entrepreneur, through to building competencies in other areas as diverse as going to Brussels to meet Angela Merkl with David Cameron, through to appearing on primetime BBC One shows.


Dale Murray started her career in New Zealand at Price Waterhouse Coopers, then joined the management team that launched NZ's first digital mobile phone network.

She then relocated to Britain, to continue her career at the multi-national media and publishing group Pearson PLC. In 1999 I Dale left to co-found Omega Logic, which launched mobile phone top-ups in Britain alongside the mobile phone networks and other "top-up solution providers". By 2005 Omega Logic was processing £450 million of top-ups per annum in Britain and the USA, generating £25 million of net revenue.

 After leaving Omega Dale began to invest in startups in various sectors including software-as-a-service (SaaS), ecommerce, fintech and digital publishing & was awarded British Angel Investor of the Year in 2011.

 Dale now holds a number of board positions in the public and private sector and was honoured with a CBE in June 2013 by HM the Queen, for services to business. She served on the Business Taskforce for David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, in 2013 for a report on EU Red Tape. Debretts named her one of the "500 most influential people in Britain" in 2015 and she has made numerous, including the BBC's show "The Apprentice - You're Fired".
